Control Codex
from Telegram.
Send a task from your phone. Follow useful progress, review requested actions, and receive the result from Codex running on your computer.
Open @gramote_ai
Pre-release setup: a paired local Gramote companion is required. Public Plugin Directory submission is pending review.
A bridge to your own environment
Telegram → Gramote → encrypted outbound connection → your companion → local Codex
Your repository and Codex credentials remain on your computer. The bridge carries task text, action requests and selected results. Those messages can contain code excerpts. Your computer must stay online.
Set up once, stay in control
- Install the companion from the Gramote plugin's bundled wheel on Linux or macOS.
- Authenticate Codex locally and select a project.
- Open the short-lived Telegram pairing link and confirm the matching account ID on your computer.
- Start the companion, send
/check, then write your task.
Every action has a destination
Use /devices and /use to choose the correct computer and project. Approvals apply to the exact displayed request and expire after two minutes. Use /stop to interrupt, or /revoke to remove access.
Built for local Codex
No inbound connection to your computer is required. App Server runs locally over stdio. Gramote does not run a cloud coding agent. Existing Codex and model-provider settings still govern Codex processing.
